This year's Homecoming activi- ties were under the sovereignty of Queen, Kim McDougald and her royal court of attendants. Wanda Starrett was elected to be the Senior class attendant. Jun- ior attendant was Monette Gram- lich and Kathy Robinson was the Sophomore attendant. The 1971 courtship reigned over the weeks activities, which in- cluded a football banquet, Queen's assembly. student enthusiasm soars during Hold to Yesterday, Reach for Tomorrow was the theme for this year's homecoming. The Junior High School Student Council took first place in the float competition. The second place float was the Freshman class float and the senior float was third place. Some new highlights of home- coming were the new bell, which was rung after every touchdown. During the half- time activities at the game, hundreds of helium filled bal- loons were released on the field. Although it was too windy for the bonfire to be lit, the Junior class was responsible for bring- ing the most wood.
