SUPERINTENDENT'S MESSAGE To the Students of G.G.H.S. I noticed with pleasure that the '49 MOGRANDAH is very properly dedicated To You, the Students. High Schools exist for students. without students school would be non-existent. However, the quality of any high school activity or class depends to a great extent upon the quality of the individu- al students therein. Your MOGRANDAH will be just what you students make itg your athletic teams are just what the boys making up the teams, the supporting student body and Pep Club make them. The re- sults derived from each of your classes depend upon what you as an individual student contribute to those classes. Your school is judged by you who make it. Madeleine Bridges in Life' s Mirror gives us some sound advise that holds true in school life as well in other walks of life. I believe you can well afford to memorize these lines and follow them through life: 1 For life is the mirror of king and slave, Tis just what we are and dog Then give to the world the best you have, And the best will come back to you. Very Sincerely,
