We were quickly in full swing, for we drew the con- cession for the first football game. In the spring we held the annual St. Patrick's Day dance, which was a very successful affair. During our sophomore year we were more accustomed to G. C. H, S, and not quite so scared. Our class put forth a great deal of effort in getting our candi- date votes in the queen contest. We were well repaid when our princess, Janie Mettling, was crowned queen of the carnival. When our junior year came along, we were now pretty confident, for we had reached the upper classmen stage. How happy were we to show off our rings when they arrived in December! Our junior play, Cll Qy, which was given in the spring, was a great success. The proceeds helped build up our treasury for the Junior-Senior Banquet and Prom, both of which were greatly enjoyed. Then our Senior year arrived and our days were filled with the usual acti- vities. The comedy, llt Assured, which we gave in February, was very well received. After the sneak and our Junior-Senior Prom and Banquet our great moment arrived. We were graduated May 18, 1956. No days well be quite so cherished as those spent at Grand Coulee High School.
