The Homecoming Queen and Court from left to right. Peggy Hyndsg ut-en Chris Trouvosg Carol Chapel, Pat Kremer, janyce Cuvelierg Sandra Bakerg Bonnie Wilcox: Betty Shier. Weeks of preparation were rewarded as students and alumni rallied to enjoy Homecoming festivities on October 12. 1956, The afternoon was filled with a pep meeting. and a parade composed of the band, cheer-leaders. and floats decorated with the theme of The I-Ilection Year . The Sophomore, Seventh Grade. and junior floats were chosen as the first, second. and third place winners, re- spectively. In the evening Grand Blanc downed Flushing in the Homecoming football game. During halftime. the band presented a special Homecoming show and the queen can- didates were escorted onto the field. Last year's Queen. Merry Reed Benson. then stepped up to the platform and crowned Chris Trouvos - Queen of Homecoming 1956. 1956 Homecoming Activities Well Attended Merry Reed Benson, last years queen, crowns Chris Trouvos Homecoming Queen as the court looks on, Sophomores show pride in their winning float.
