Miss Hazel Dowd. High School Principal dministration Assuming the duties of high school principal this year, Miss Hazel Dowd has continued to win the esteem of students and teachers alike. In her first year at Grand Blanc she taught the fifth grade the first semester, but was later transferred to the junior and senior high division. Specializing in his- tory, she also taught many other subjects, some of which were drivers training and social studies. Miss Dowd served as sophomore sponsor and girls' basketball coach for thirteen years. Recent graduates will remember her as a highly respected junior and senior class sponsor. Miss Dowd attended Michigan State Normal College where she obtained her Batchelor of Science degree and earned her Master of Arts degree at the University of Michigan.
