ENGLISH DEPARTMENT The English Department provides a foundation on which a student may build toward nearly any goal. Grammar and composition are presented as an essen- tial part of the pupiYs knowledge of his language. For those students who aspire to go on to college, prac- tice in public speaking and research papers is invalu- able. The teaching of literature aids the student in appreciation of creative talents. Accelerated courses are offered for grEater depth of study. MATH DEPARTMENT The Math Department offers subjects which are of practical and professional value. The basic study of mathematics is applicable in every day life. Advanced study of science requires mathematical knowledge. Many ca- reers, such as engineering, also necessitate an understanding of math.
