-L-... , .x, ' ' 21-A ' M--- --- Q Comet s eye In this, the 13th publication of the Granby High School yearbook. we pre- sent a Comet's eye-view of the year 1952-53. As a comet soaring across the heavens sees all that is beneath it. so the staff has roved the halls of Granby recording the happenings of the year. Each letter of the word comet has ben used to show one facet of our school life and each corresponding section of the book has been introduced by a picture of the heavens. Through experience we have learned that publishing a yearbook is a difficult task requiring not only the best efforts of all staff members but also their close co-operation and continued good humor. It is our sincere hope that this. your yearbook, will in some way reflect the satisfaction and joy which we have found in working together to produce it. To those who, although not regular members of the staff, have pitched in or offered a helping hand and a cheerful l'd be glad roi , go our heart-felt thanks-and, to you, our readers, we express the hope that, as you travel back through the year with the Comet, a little of the star dust will rub off on you and help to keep your high school memories alive and sparkling! L N Among the brightest stars DEDICATION When God looked down on Granby and He saw His carefree children, dreaming the dreams of youth, He sent two women bearing talents To lead them on to beauty and to wisdom. And one He sent with ready smile and rhythmic touch Who set their lips and hearts to singing: Pointed out the basic harmony in all His ways, And thus became their friend. And the other He sent with understanding heart and searching mind Who spurred them on the pathway to achieve- ment and to truth, Who was their counselor and their guide, And thus became their friend.
