,l Dear Students: It is a genuine pleasure to look back over the accomplishments of the 1953-'54 school year. I congratulate each of you for your contributions to these many successes. I am convinced that our heritage is one of which we may be justly proud and I challenge your best thinking as you prepare yourselves for a place in society that only you can fill, for surely we face new and greater challenges in the days that lie ahead. My sincere hope is that you will accept these challenges with courage and determination, thereby achieving those ideals that are dear to the hearts of all real Americans. I wish for all of you good health, great faith and clear understanding of the problems you face.
