WM .y v Friends may part with time, but they are never lost. 1 The future is based on what we learn today. 11 A quarter of a century ago, Granada Hills High School was opened. Through the past twenty-five years many changes have taken place on our campus and around the world. We still live with many of the decisions the class of I960 made. Such as our school theme, name, colors etc. This year marks the 25th anniversary of G.H.H.S., our Scot Pride is sure to last an- other 25 years. Happy Birthday, Granada! A ADA HILLS 12 13 m: MinVTWt tmB eTsohi Pep Assembly Presents Fall Sports Teams Like all the preceding years, this year ' s Fall Pep Assembly was filled with the famous Granada Hills High School spir- it. Following an impressive perfor- mance by the band and drill team, the members of Student Council were pre- sented. The fall sports teams were then intro- duced to the crowd, along with the fall varsity. Bee, and class cheerleaders. 17 Friday Pep Rallies Pep rallies on Fridays have become a spirited Granada tradition. To get the student body ready for the big game, cheerleaders, the band, Highland Dancers, and Drill Team perform. They all did their share in supporting our varsi- ty and Bee football teams in winning their re- spective league championships. .:iSft 18 19 Homecoming Game The 1984 Homecoming Game was a night to remember despite our loss to El Camino. However, the Bee Team kept their undefeated season alive. The night started off with the I Love LA theme and many fabulous floats. The Junior Class captured First Place with their float. Following the Home- coming Parade was the moment all were waiting for — the introduction of the Homecoming Court. Anthony Ben- educe and Stefanie Forsey proudly walked away with the King and Queen titles. Karen Adier, Jackie Bobo, Julie Ritter and Carlena Gower were the princesses and Chris Chudacaff, Juris Lozenicins, Ron Glotzer and Stuart Levy were the princes. The night was filled with excitement and fun was had by alL 20 21 Halloween 84 22 23 25 Senior Picnic The Senior Picnic, held on October 23, was a memorable occasion for all who attended. The highlights of the day were the football game, a pie eating contest (which turned out to be a pie toss). and a roller ride formed down a hill. The traditional pyramid was formed and lasted for several seconds before it crashed to the ground. Those who attended agreed it was a good activity with which to start the Senior Class calendar. ■jmsfi m essi: Alumni-Varsity Basketball 28 29 Spring Tryouts In front of an enthusiastic crowd, girls tried out for the positions on the spring varsity and junior varsity cheerleading squads. The girls had to learn three cheers and a song routine to tune Bring Your Love Down by the Jazz Band. They also had to demon- strate kicks and jumps to show their competence in those areas. The girls all did an excellent job and had a lot of fun. 31 34 Groups Take Trophies The Sports Arena was filled with excitement. The night the Highlander Marching Band and Bonnie Lassie drill team compet- ed in the city finals as reigning 2A divisional champions. This year however, the band and drill team was put into the 3A division, which consists of the larger high school bands. Grana- da placed 2nd in their division with the performance that band and drill team gave. It was evident that Granada kept the tradition of pride, precision, and intensified spirit. Competing with Granada in the 3A division were Lincoln High School and Cleveland High School. 35 •-.-. • i- . «:«—. V f ll 4 L« !
