May 31, l955 Student Body Grainger High School Kinston, North Carolina Dear Students: This issue of the uKay-Aitch-Essn marks its 30th anniversary. As, in later years, you leaf through the book you will re- call many of the most pleasant memories of your life. You will be proud to say that you attended high school with some of the students and, of many others, you will wonder where they are and what they are doing. We are proud of our school and of its accomplishments. The students are cooperative and the faculty excellent. We hope that as you read the nKay-Aitch-Ess' you will remember that each and every member of the student body has a definite role, whether large or small, to play in life. lt determines what you will get out of high school and of life in the future. To the seniors we give our best wishes for a successful future. The under classmen, we hope, will try to emulate the good ex- amples which you have set. Sincerely yours, John H.
