On September 15, 1948, our life as Seniors began, and the walls resounded- -for we were the rippling voices and the full-toned belly-laughter of our young world. -for we were the lunch-time-at-Rick's and the stop-a-minute-at-Shady's, the shaggers, the cloggers, the ever-raving don't-you-just-love's. -for we kept the long night watches for games, parties, studies. We watched the long nights and lived the short days that were numbered in our youth. -for we were the Tower of Babel and the babbling of foreign tongues. W'e were the youth. -for we were the idiotic little bugs buzzing in the study halls, the long-hairs, the foot- ball players, the milkshake drinkers, the hot-dog eaters. -for we were the daneersg we were the youth-
