Students may have left school with four to seven hours of homework but most preferred the diversion that a trip to work or something else to do could bring. junior and senior students mostly made up the ratio of those who chose to work. Most of these students worked after-school hours and weekends although some seniors were allowed an early release from school. After school also meant practices . . .P and work. Practice makes perfect, right? To some it seemed that all of those long, hard hours meant more than work . . . it meant time and energy. But students eagerly engaged in all kinds of after-school school activities such as fin- ishing their computer programming, yearbook pages, FHA meetings, sport practices, and play practices.
