hy New Team Does Well 1 l l 1- -s I l l l I J Front to back-Cindy Henson, Val Groves, Tammy Michelle Gibler, Sondra Parker, Coach Johnson, Dana Hontz, Carol Condra, Tamira Hillbrand, Teresa Hazlett, Webb, Ann Amor, Coach Cr0mer. 1 The Grain Valley girls' track team had a new look this season with only a small number of returnees from last year's team. However, the new members were able to quickly fill many of the vacant slots- i and then some. New school records were set in the ,qi 100 meter dash and the 3200 meter run. Our 800 me- Mmu ter relay team finished second at the Cass-Midway I A Relays. Each of these events were run by team mem- 4 bers new to the track team this season. We were a K young team, also, with 11 out of 15 members being sophomores or freshman. The year was memorable and enjoyable for me, as I hope it was for the members of the team. It was a pleasure working with them and I appreciated the opportunity to do so. I am sure that next year will be even more rewarding.
