They, along with the other members, traveled to Sil- ver Dollar City for a field trip on May 1. At monthly meetings during the year, guest speakers were in- vited to attend. Workmg Toward Progress s . dm X This years' student council has been very busy working on ways to improve our school. They were in charge of organizing the Homecoming pa- rade. Baked goods and candybars were sold to raise money for the Christmas films which were S-S-S-S-S and MCQ. The council also tried' somef thing new this year. Committees were set up and each teachers' birthday, he or she received a sur- prise from the committee. Computer match-ups were sold as a fund raiser and they proved to be fun and profitable. We would like to thank the Student Council for Working toward our schools' progress this year. D Robert and Mr. Wilson discuss the latest news. 22 Ir. In the office they perform the duties of writing out passes, running errands for Mrs. Beebe, Mr. Burns, and a number of teachers, collecting absentees, etc. The librarians also do a lot for our school. They meet the students' needs by helping them find wanted books and checking out the books. They also provide help for the Grain Valley ele- mentary libraries. VOLUNTEERS! 29 Q-
