GNC It ia ilf llkisfi A ml I looked in e telephone directory for the name Hutchings. I knew if I could locate Bob he could tell me about some of the folks I used to know. Several by the name Hutchings were listed, but none of the names were familiar, so I decided to give up and go to Q hotel. I inquired about e good hetel and was directed to the Hutchings Hotel, which was the largest in the town 'having over a hundred rooms with the most modern equipnent including redio and television. It was owned and operated, by my old friend, Bob Hutchings. Bob was in his office. After exchanging heerty greetings, we sat down for Q talk about old times. Of course, our telk drifted beck to Grain Valley High School and to members of our class. We talked about fauline Cooper and Bob Jenkins and their chances to win the nomina- tion for President. They were running on the People's ticket, and Pauline was the first Henan ever to try for the presidency. I found that our two presidential candi- dates were not the only members of our class who hed done well. The mayor of the thriving city of Grain Valley was also e member of our class, Clifford Hoehn. Dale Terry was e famous radio singer-- now living in New York. He was said to have a special seeretery to answer his fan neil. Junior Chiddix was owner of the Skyride Airplane Company end was Hflying right elong.H Elbert Chiddix, or HCrickerW as no used to know him, had been e successful baseball pitcher for many years having figured in more than one Vorld Series. He nas not e manager for one of the big eastern teams. Se popular hid he been that a Breekfest Food Co. was put- ting out souvenir baseballs with Cricket's picture and neue en them.
