UN UA frsfwife-fv-,J.:5xx'1f- . ,L ' ' ,Iv 413, JUNIGR CLASS PROPHECY I finished Grain Valley High School with the cless of '39. Being interested in the development of television, I took e special course on that subject and vent to work for a company manufacturing and installing tele- vision equipment. My Work took me to Celi- fornia, where I lived for several years. When the year of'l96O rolled around, I was still working along this some line, having invented a special apparatus which within a certain range enables the user to see anything or a person anywhere at any time. I might add that this is one reason I have never married, for with this machine a wife surely can check up on her husband. As it was presidential elec- tion year, the newspapers were full of cam- paign news and statements about candidates. One morning one of my friends spoke e- bout two of the candidatesg he asked if I knew them. Since they were from Missouri, I reed the newspaper article and looked at the pictures of the persons in question. Their names were Pauline Cooper and Robert Jenkins. Their pictures were not familiar as I remem- ber theng but, unquestionably, they were two of my old school friends. I had not heard from them for e long time, but it seemed as if they had been going places in n political way Thinking of school days made ne homesick for old Missouri again, therefore, I decided to take a vacation and visit scenes of my boy- hood days. I took passage on en airplane for Kansas City. When I crrived there, I found I could go to Grain Valley by airplane as they had Q lending field there. When I landed at Grain Valley,I was much surprised at the way it had increased in size. It was new Q large city with large commercial buildings and nany fine homes. I rcs confused for awhile as to how I could locate someone I knew for everyone I sen was C stranger to me. Y, U lx V i,eenf 1 R 1 S A I . Q I I 'N 1 I I I e Q , 1 J
