On the night of Novem- ber 14, 1970, the National Honor Society and the Key Club presented the 1970 Miss Graham High School Pageant. Debbie Best and Keith Denny were mistress and master of ceremonies. Twelve girls competed for the title, The ‘giris first appeared in Sureel clothes. Next, they per- formed their individual talents. After the inter- mission, the girls modeled their evening gowns. We were then entertained by the fab- ulous singing of Steve Features 22 Fonville. We were then honored by the very graceful David Hudgins and the golden throated Worth McPherson along with the lovely Dennis Page. The judges then returned with the long awaited final decision. Brenda Smith was crowned Miss GHS with Tommie Anne Moore and kitty Moore) as first and second runners-up. re- spectively. Bonita Basnight was named most talented non-finalist along with special recog- nition for Penny Norman.
