“Land Of Oz” On the night of May the first, 1970, the Junior class honored the Class of ’70 with a trip to the “Land of Oz”. Juniors spent hours decorating the gym, dripping wax onto wine bottles, blowing up balloons, and visiting beauty parlors. The result was a beautiful Emerald City. Beth Yount and David Harrington were crowned Prom King and Queen amid applause and shouts of approval. Music was provided by the Kallabash, and everyone agreed that they were tremendous. enior Dress-Up Day Friday, April 24, was officially declared Senior Dress-up Day. Hordes of seniors stormed the halls of G.H.S. in outfits resembling anything from angels and preachers to hippies and soldiers.
