th ta aS AUIS a er Time andl the Tide With ceaseless cadence, the full tide flows in and, meeting the sandy shore, gives it a swirling caress, then sweeps back into the fathomless depths from which have surged all the tides of the mystic past... In its wake along the shore is left a memorandum of its visit there--a part of the oceanfrom which it came. The tide not only gave, but now bears with it the sand and the shells from the face of the shore to become forever a part of the restless, wandering sea. So are we--onetide of the eras of mankind. As we swirl upon the shore of life, we leave a part of ourseives behind--the mark of our times, our failure, and our success-- to become forever a part of the shore. And the shore, in turn, gives of itself and gifts of the tides before, all to become a part of us as we join the generations of men. Sydney Hardy
