U UN C' Only once or twice in his high school career, will a person find ateacher who inspires him and is also his friend. Such a person is rare. Many teachers have the power to command respect or to be a friend, but few can combine the two. This person has made a last- ing impression on us. Through his tireless aid and kind guidance, we have grown to rely on him. He has shown patience with our prob- lems, has recognized us as indi- viduals, and has been interested in us at all times. We, the Class of 1962, dedi- cate the 1962 WAG to our teacher and friend, Mr. Richard Uzzell.

Foreword In Shakespeare's words, The whole world is a stage, so then is high school, four of the most important acts in this play called Life. Freshmen enter high school with anxiety to learn the parts that they will play during their first year. The Sophomores have had one year of viewing from behind the stage, and now they are anxious to join with the rest of the cast and become amore active part of making the 1961-62 school year a success. The Juniors are understudies of the Seniors. They are finally realizing that the play High School has just one more act left for them. They work hard while producing the scenes for their spectacle, the Junior-Senior Prom. The class rings arrive, and to them it is a symbol that they are a part of Graham High School. - . The final act comes much too quickly for the Seniors. Every event is the last one of that type that these old pros will ever encounter. They who still remember their first pep rally will soon add to their collection of cherished mem- oirs, the remembrance of their last pep rally. Friends who have weathered the storms of life together for twelve years will now go their separate ways to begin a new act in their lives. High School is a never-to-be-forgotten series of acts in a person's life, for from these four years many impressions are made on one's personality which will perhaps mold his character for the rest of his life. So now let us journey by page through the four acts of this year in our 1961-62 WAG. 4

No other person has held the respect of so many. Even though a man of quiet nature, he always received the full attention of the Student Body, and his ideas were influential inall decisions. Only once or twice in a lifetime do you meet a person who profoundly influences your life. His love for the students, his sense of right that compels honesty and truth, and his challenging spirit toward the occurrences of life make us stop and remember. These, and many other qualities allow us to fondly present the 1962 WAG IN HONOR OF Mr. Needham G. Bryan. ' 6
