ne Day at a Time I . 1 C. a. After receiving their 1977 yearbooks. students thumb through the pages and look for pictures of themselves and their friends. b. Lori Jennings and Betsy Schlittler find that being a cheerleader means spending summer afternoons painting signs. c. Freshmen can't believe there are this many forms to be filled out. d. Football players enjoy watermelon provided by the Quarterback Club at the Watermelon Supper. e. As football season draws near, Squad girls practice marching into the gym. f. Y-Teen cabinet members and their sponsors feast their eyes on various salads prepared for their annual salad supper. 5

ugust Summer Ends Practices and parties filled the last days before school started. Preparing for the football season, players and coaches began one-a- days early in August. Cheerleaders finished painting game signs, and the Pep Squad practiced new routines. Before school got under way, students took one last look at the l976-77 school year when they received their annuals. Registration day finally arrived even though it was delayed one week. This year students were not faced with the mad rush of the usual registration day. For the first time students' schedules were assigned during the summer.
