Homemaking II Studyhall Bookkeeping For bachelors like Coach Keyes the best place to get a home- cooked meal is Homemaking II. With a good excuse like that, he may never get married. All studyhall classes meet upstairs but the fifth period studyhall which has the distinction of meeting in the library. Some students study while others spend their time looking for a good book to check out. Bookkeeping students learn the importance of balancing the check- book. It surely takes a lot of work if those numbers don't balance. 21

Consumer education Civics Health Sixth period, the after dinner hour, seems like the perfect time for a nap, but somehow the teachers don’t see it that way. Role playing keeps Mrs. Strickland's students alert in consumer education class. With someone like Ronnie Notman, Mr. Boedecker doesn’t have to worry about his civics class going to sleep. Why is Ronnie back in the corner, Mr. Boedecker? Mrs. Spring's health class doesn’t have time to sleep because she has them busy making collages about emotions. 23
