STUDY HALL After two periods of boys' health, Coach Edwards looks forward to the peace and quiet of his third period study hall. While Coach Edwards and scholars are relaxing in study hall, the shop boys are hard at work. At first glance it looks as though they are having a good old-fashioned bam raising. Look again. They are building storage barns for people in the community. Above the hammer and nails, Coach Haterius can be heard saying, ... and now you will write a five page report telling why the trash can blow up. SHOP II CHEMISTRY 17

Third Period Speech II Shorthand As third period rolls around the King Family is caught by the camera in Speech II doing their warmups. Who knows they might even make the Johnny Carson Show someday! While the speech stu- dents are busy making faces for Mr. Cody, shorthand students are making faces at the long hours of work ahead. Lunch What’s the big hurry? Is it a fire? No, the bell has just rung, and it's time for lunch. While some people rush for the lunchroom, others rush outside to thumb a ride to the Dairy Queen. No matter how hard they try, some poor fish is always left behind. Don't worry. Maybe next year you'll have a car. Catching a ride for lunch. The rush for lunch. The cafeteria line. 18
