The whole idea of investor-ownership of electric light and power companies began when Thomas A. Edison and a group of in- vestors financed his first power plant more than 80 years ago. Since then, investor-owned companies like ours have become an integral part of America’s Free Enterprise system. That explains why today we have at our fingertips more electric power than any other country in the world. And it’s this same Free Enterprise system that puts at your fingertips greater oppor- tunity, greater expectation for success than can be hoped for by any other young people in the world. lectric Power System Compliments of barbecue!
