Huffard first pre- sented the medal in I 9 I 6 ; Glenna James (Mrs. Kennedy) received the medal that year. Mary Cameron (Mrs. Farharason) won the award in 1917 and Annie Laura Spraker (Mrs, George Miller) in I9I8. More recent recipients were Gloria Andes and Lois Neal, who tied, in 1950 and Phyllis Bell in 1951. As far as we can find out Mr. Stout was principal in the new school. (1913) Mr. Lincoln was principal in 1915. The first annual was called Shaum. We wonder why. Ann Shuffle barger Haner was the first majorette Graham ever had. Gordon Perkins and Betty Harris were the Negative team state winners in debate at Charlottesville in 1951. Listen carefully for other echoes of the past.
