NVe proudly took our place in the middle row liehind the equally' as proud Seniors .tl our iirst assem-hly and secretly wondered and hoped that we could follow in the footsteps of the -luniors ol' the past year. Wie gat otli to a good start and called our lirst meeting early in September, electing class oHicers as follows: President, Arnold Sinithg Yice President, -Ioe liurgeg Secretary, Dot Pritchettg 'l reasurer, -lean Stephens. VVe apphbinted lklrs. rklley, sponsor. VVe then continued on our way until some lwright -lunior advanced the suh-iect -if a .lunior Senior lianquet and Dance. We lvegan to remove the cohwehs from our lwrains and tried io think of ways to make money. A play was the answer and Introduced Susan, a comedy ol mistaken identities was presented on Noveinher 17 and 18. Wve then lwegan the grueling task ol' ordering our class rings and linally decided cn the standsrd ring with either hlue or red set. Our president and vice president answered the urgent call of the draft hoard and we lwegzin to think about the election of these ollicers over again. .Iohn llodnett was elected president and Gordon Barrett, vice president. lVIore money was needed for our banquet and as the phot.Jgr.iplier snapped the pictures we snapped twenty per cent of his prolit hy sponsoring the taking ol' pictures throughout the school. VVe also held a hake sale down town and the tinineial end of the hanquct was completed. The time for the banquet is drawing near and this will cliinax the activities of the slunior Class of '43.
