Juniors What class in Graham High School in 42 had a good representation in everything including trouble? The answer of course is the Juniors. We find our girl basketball captain and co-captain, Shirley Compton and Joan Fields. Also we find Eleanor Moses, Leta Mae Anderson, Peggy Lambert, Arlene Goosby, Mar- garet Painter, and Shirley Mahood on the girls team. “Friday” Barrett, “Doc? White, Leon Gill, Jimmy Bates, Ernest Honaker, and Jackie Wysor did more than their share in boys basketball. Freeman Turley, our football captain and Jackie Wysor the co-captain are both found in the Junior Class along with many other members of the football team. We find repre- sentatives in the Glee Club, Annual Staff, Library Club, Girl Reserves, Student Council, Beta Club, and Varsity from the Junior Class. When you see the Graham High Band marching down the street you immediately see Arlene Goosby, Anna Belle Shufflebarger, and Wanda Smith our Majorettes who are Juniors and following them there are such Juniors as Margaret Painter, Jimmy Bates, Leon Gill, Aileen Crabtree, Peggy Lambert, Eugene White, Leta Mae Anderson, Billy Longworth, Joan Fields, June Brooks, Nancy Reed, Phyllis Peery, Earl Shaw, Margaret Carbaugh, Shirley Mahood, Frank ‘Thomp- son, Billy Pippin. One of the most successtul things the Juniors attempt- ed was a three-act comedy named “Look Who’s Here.” We find in this Phyllis Peery, Arlene Goosby, Harold Mathena, Jimmy Bates, Margaret Carbaugh, Anna Belle Shuffebarger, Varl Shaw, J. G. Bailey, Shirley Ma- hood, Doris Joncs, Leta Mae Anderson, Eleanor Moses, Jackie Wysor, Billy Pippin, June Brooks, Margaret Painter, Nancy Reed, and Aileen Crabtree under the direction of our very capable sponsor Mrs. Brubeck, who, through her hard work and patience, made our slay a success. pia} The Juniors also gave a Masquarade Ball which was very successful and various other things were attempted by them all being successful. The Juniors expect to let the curtain fall on a most successful year, by giving, for the Seniors, a banquet which they hope will be the best in the history of Graham High School. If they are this successful while Juniors we are looking forward to a very capable, achieving, and ambitious Seniors Class next year.
