OUR PRINCIPAL Lynn Faulkner, Principal B. S. , E. E., A.M. Mr. Lynn Faulkner has been a member of the faculty of Grafton High School for 34 years and has been principal for 6 years. He assumed his principal duties with a rich background. He holds degrees from West Virginia University, Cornell, and Harvard. Although he is a very busy man, he still finds time to work with his ham radio and scientific experiments. The students of Grafton High School feel that he is doing a splendid job as principal and as a friend. VICE PRINCIPAL Edward Whitescarver, Assistant Principal A. B. , A.M. Mr. Whitescarver has been at Grafton High School as registrar and assistant principal for 5 years. He is a graduate of West Virginia Wesleyan College and W. V. U. Mr. Whitescarver has a friendly smile for everyone and is liked by all the students. He expresses his regret that there is but 24 hours in a day. Mr. Whitescarver is a great asset to our school. THE BOARD’S VOICE IS THE PEOPLE’S CHOICE TRUSTEES ELECTED IN THE DISTRICT ARE THE GUARDIANS OF OUR SCHOOL SUPERINTENDENT Paul C. Bartlett has held the office of Superintendent of Schools for the past eight years. Mr. Bartlett received his A.B. degree from Fairmont State College and M. A. Degree from W. V. U. His is affiliated with the Blueville Methodist Church and is a member of the local Lions Club, a Mason, and is a member of the W. Va. Education Association, National Education Association, and American Association of School Administrators. John B. Jenkins, James Kerns, Mildred Keefer, Chester Blue, Kenneth Godwin, Paul C. Bartlett. ASSISTANT SUPERINTENDENT Ronald Knotts has held the office of Assistant Superintendent of Schools since his appointment in 1949, having taught in this county since 1929. He obtained his A. B. degree and his A. M. degree from W.V. U. Mr. Knotts has been Campaign Director of the Annual March of Dimes since 1947, and is a Lay Leader of the Church of the Good Shepherd. He is also Treasurer of the Taylor County Chapter of the American Red Cross. 10

Neillie Bolyard . . . Teaches home Economics . . . sponsor of the future home-makers . . . enjoys preparing for teachers coffee hour . . . has been with us for 26 years. Mildred Bord . . . Enthusiastically teaches bible, physical education and health . . . very interested in gems . . . also directs our cheerleaders. Hazel Cole . . . She is a faithful sophomore sponsor and biology teacher ... is always willing to help students who are willing to help themselves. Harley Donham . . . Came to G.H.S. during 1964-65 school term and help strenghten the backbone of our faculty. He is doing an excellent job of teaching Vo. Ag. and Biology. Jean Faulkner . . . Often heard talking to herself in French after a hard day. This capable teacher will keep the name Faulkner in G.H.S. after our principal has retired . Tom Bolyard . . . Enjoys teaching general math and driver education . . . has many virtues and much patience with student drivers. Charles Cather . . . Industrial Arts, household mechanics, and mechanical drawing instructor. He shows outstanding respect to the ladies. George Current . . . A new face at G.H.S., he was a former student of our school and a graduate of Fairmont State College. He is one of the major forces in this school due to his ability in nathematics. Wilma Evans . . . Sponsoring the A . T. C. is one of her extra-curricular activities . . . teaches civics, economic geography, and consumer's living . . . credited for adjusting freshmen to high school. Mildred Haddox . . . Teaches junior English and speech . . . often heard saying how much she enjoys her speech classes. As a retiring teacher, we will miss her very much, and we hope the feeling is mutual. 12
