Hortense E. Mumford has an M.A. and A.B. degree. She teaches English and Civics. She enjoys reading and traveling. She is a Freshman sponsor. Carrie Packman has an A.B. degree. She teaches Sophomore and Senior English. The Senior class enjoys her pastime of planning Senior trips, She enjoys outside sports. Torlock Rasmussen has a B.S. degree from Columbia University and an M.A. degree from West Virginia Wesleyan. He came to us after retiring from being principal of G.J.H.S. He teaches chemistry and reading. Patricia Rice has a B.M. degree from W.V.U. She is our vivacious choir and vocal teacher. She enjoys talking about her daughter. She is a new teacher at G.H.S. with a new type of personality. Elma Robinson has an A.B. degree. She enjoys decorating and appreciates neatness. English III is her speciality after ten years of teaching at G.H.S. Martha Rose Roy has a B.S. and M.A. degree from A.B. college and W.V.U. She is found milling around the commercial department. She likes all foods and enjoys sewing and watching T.V. She is a Sophomore sponsor. Hazel Shaver has an A.B. degree. She is found in our art department. She teaches but also does most art work for programs and displays. She is a Freshman sponsor. Mildred Elizabeth Sinsel has an A.B. degree from Fairmont State College and an M.A. degree from W.V.U. She teaches American and World History. She enjoys reading and is always willing to lend a hand. She is a Junior class sponsor. 14

Mildred Ann Haddox has an A.B. degree from W.V.U. She teaches speech and junior English. This year's added attraction is a brace. She enjoys music and reading. Sherman Hooke Haselden has a B.S. degree from W.V.U. and a M.A. degree from W.V.B.C. He, teaches typing, bookkeeping, and office practice. He enjoys hunting, fishing and camping. Joseph Henry has a B.A. and M.A. degree. He is our band instructor and is often heard saying, Don't loose that music. His favorite pastime is music, of course. Francis A. Julian has a B.S. degree. He teaches welding and is liked by all his boys. Charles Kelley has a B.S. and A.B. degree and has taught at G. H.S. for twelve years He is well known for his attractive smile. He teaches machine shop and enjoys outdoor sports. Randall McKinney has a M.A. and A.B. degree. Always telling of his experiences as he teaches Economics and Sociology. He is our football and basketball coach and received an honor this fall of field dedication -- McKinney Field. Dayton Michael is the F.F.A. advisor and teacher of Vo-Ag. He is often heard saying, Good Morning, in his low run around the halls. 13

Lawrence Spadafore has an A .B. and M.A . degree. He teaches civics and is the assistant coach of our football and basketball teams. He enjoys football and being with his family. Mr. Spadafore has taught at G.H.S. for 14 years. Barbara Towles received an A.M. degree in education from W.V.U. and is now working on her Masters. She teaches American History, civics, and English I. She is often heard saying Dear Gussie. Miss Towles is also the very capable directress of the Thespians. She enjoys eating, swimming and dancing and has taught at G.H.S. for 3 years. A. V. Yoho has an M.A. and A.M. degree. He teaches algebra, plane geometry, solid geometry and trigonometry. He is often heard saying Now Look. Mr. Yoho is quite famous for his Friday tests. He likes all kinds of food and working in his garden. Russel R. Walls has a B.S. and an M.A. degree from W.V.U. He is known as the little man in the library and is often seen running loafers out of the library and giving detention hall to students for talking. He enjoys chaperoning on band trips and also likes photography and music. Mr. Walls has taught at G.H.S. for 6 years. Donald A. Williams received his A.B. degree from Fairmont State. He was the shocked sponsor of the 1962 award winning ReEcho Staff and is trying for 1963. In the meantime he teaches Science and Physical Education. He's often seen with swollen feet, Due to the chocolate that he can't eat.” Eleanor Duckworth is known as the joker of G.H.S. and is head of the hubbub in the office. She is a very friendly person and well liked by the students and faculty. She enjoys painting and eating spaghetti. Shirley Jeannette Turner -- One of the new faces around G.H.S. Mrs Turner is an assistant to the confusion in the office. She is a graduate of G.H.S. and was a majorette and thespian. She is often heard saying How about that. She likes fried chicken, reading, and dancing.
