The purpose of the club is to promote better sportsmanship, to stress the importance of physical fitness among its elected members, and to further girls' sports. The G.A.A. sponsored the cheerleaders and helps to raise money for their benefit by selling candy. On Friday afternoon a parade through town was led by the G.H.S. Band and the Homecoming Queen and her court. At the halftime, the coronation took place while the band played the accompanying music. The Queen was dressed in a winter white corduroy dress and her court in like dresses of bright fall colors. Miss janet Sinsel, Queen VII crowned -Miss Karen Withers, Queen Bearcat VIII. Following the game everyone danced to the music of the Frank De Vincent Orchestra, bringing to a close another thrilling Homecoming.
