0l 8 lfU6Llf' Tume marches on and so do wel As we are about to take our place un the alumni we start to remunusce When we remember o tear or a chuckle may go unnoticed but mixed emotions wull fill our hearts The aum of the Re Echo of 1950 us to brung back the memories that are so dear to us E8 LC6L ELOVL We the Senuors of Grafton Hugh School dedicate thus Re Echo of 1950 to Mr Sherman H Haselden Mr Haselden came to us from Lost Creek Hugh School un 1935 Hus experience un school work covers pruncupal as well as teacher He us a graduate of West Vurgunua University and West Vurgunua Wesleyan He also attended West Vur gunua Business College While at Wesleyan Col lege he started the first Commercial Club and took part un many other cctuvutues He also be longed to the Kappa Alpha Social Fraternity He has worked unturungly un our commer cual department and has guven many hours of service on extra currucular actuvutues He us our only fifteen year A T C member and has been the lunuor class sponsor for eight years A sponsor he spent many long turung hours with the annual book campaugns Christmas dances and Junuor Senuor Proms Mr Haselden us now presudent of the Taylor County Teachers Assocuatuon ln 1947 he was presudent of the Class Room Teachers Assocua tuon Keeping these thoughts un mund the Re Echo staff deducates thus book to Mr Sherman H Haselden for hus splendid work and co opera tuon IOIQIAQCLCL ELOVL We the senuors of Grafton Hugh School wush to express our appreciation and gratitude to Miss Ruth Batten for the many ,hours she has devoted to us. Besides her classes she spends many long hours directing plays assemblies and other projects for the school. 2 Miss Batten received her A B and M A degrees from West Virginia University and she also attended Duke University. In 1922 she started teaching at Grafton High and has taught here since. She has done extensive traveling visiting most of the forty-eight states.
