An Captam Tony Molinari tries not to lose the ball The 1984 GHS Football season will be one few will soon forget. After a rebuilding year in 1983. the team returned with a strong varsity that included thirteen seniors. Led by captains Tony Molinari. Mike Haseltine, and David Mason, the Indians were determined to improve their record. And improve it they did. The team ended their season with a 9-I record, becoming undefeated SWCL Champs. Two memor- able wins took place within the League. The Indians broke a seven-year losing streak and finally beat the Northbridge Rams. Grafton also took a win over David Prouty by coming from behind in the last moments of the game to win 16-13. Grafton's only loss was to the Bartlett Indians. a Division II school. With their impressive record and decisive victories, the Grafton Indians were Superbowl- bound. Cathy Isaac Bill Abraham sends the ball flying I-1
