JOAN CUNNINGHAM Joan Joan is one of our class musicians: she plays The organ and piano very well. OT course she has been a member of The Glee Club for four years. She prompfed in The Junior play. Chosen as a good ciTizen and worThy delegaTe, by The Legion, Joan affended Girl's STaTe aT Bridgewafer, as a Junior, and. because of her good work There, she was chosen To aTTend The naTional convenfion in Wash- ingfon for one week. Alfhough raTher quieT and shy, Joan has been one of The mosf co-operafive sTudenTs in our class. She in- Tends To sTudy music furfher, buf has noT decided upon a definife school. We know Joan will be a greaf success. ELINOR DAVENPORT Elinor Elinor has been one of our quiefer sTudenTs. She was a Three- year member of The Glee Club and a four-year member of The AThleTic Associafion. As a Senior she was in The Gay Ninefies Revue. Elinor has a sweef disposifion and a friendly manner. Her Twinkling blue eyes greeTed you if you happened To wander info The Spa afTer school. Here she worked every affernoon. Elinor was a commercial course sTudenT. .She did well in all her school subiecfs buf liked English besf. Probably we shall remember her longesf for being so quieT ThaT no one would know she was in a room. Elinor islgoing To work in an office for a while: we know her pleasing personaliTy will help her aTTain her higher ambiTions! ASHTON DERBY Derb Derb is The fellow who likes To Tinker wiTh T b au omo iles. During his four years aT Graffon Derb wa T' ' , s ac ive in mosf class affairs. ln his freshman year he was The vice-presidenf of his class and has been a member of The Graffon AThleTic Associafion for four years. ln his senior year he was in The Gay Ninefies Revue. Derb is quife a designer of cars and hopes To make This his fuTure work. lf The cars he designs in The fuTur e are anyfhing like.Those he drives To school, l am sure he will be successful. ROBERT DESMARAIS Bob Bob is a dark-haired boy who could baffle The English class wiTl1 his big words. He enTered our class in The iunior year, and he was immediaTely elecfed Treasurer of The class. ln The middle of The junior year he Took a cruise To Cuba: Therefore, he was unable To Take Too acfive a parT in The oTher class funcfions. In The senior year Bob was again elecTed class Treasurer, and he did an ex- cellenT iob of handling The many expenses of The WashingTon Trip and all The oTher expenses of The senior year. PHYLLIS CHRISTIE llphylll ln The Three years Phyllis has been wiTh us she has held an assorT- menT of offices-Sophomore and Junior secrefary and AThleTic AssociaTion Treasurer. ln her senior year, wearing The GrafTon Green, she cheered The Indians Through a vicTorious season. She played girl's baskeTball one year, and in The Junior Play, por- Trayed a maTure young moTher. She ushered aT The Gay NineTies Revue, and worked on The sTaff of The LiTTle Warrior. She has helped in pracTically all of our class acTiviTies and has graduaTed as an honor sTudenT. Phyllis has no parTicular subiecT preference. Her plans for The fuTure are undecided buT There is probably a man in Them and perhaps furTher schooling. Good luck in whaT- ever you do, Phyllis! MINOLA CONRAD Nonie Nonie is one of our engaged girls. Small and red-haired, she has engaged in a varieTy of acTiviTies. As a freshman she sang wiTh The Glee Club and as a sophomore, she added To This work wiTh The DebaTing Club. She conTinued The Glee Club, as a iun- ior, and also was a wardrobe misTress in The Junior Play. As a senior she was a member of The Glee Club. She loves To roller skaTe, and fairly haunTs The local' rinks. She is raTher quieT and shy unTil you geT To know her: and Then she is a real friend. By The Time you receive This book, she will have a new name. Besf wishes and congraTulaTions, Noniel DONALD CORKUM lloonll Donald, our class arTisT. has been acTive in almosf all of our proiecTs. He Took parT in The Junior Play and worked on various commiTTees, as an underclassman. As a senior, he was ArT Edifor for The yearbook and sTage manager for The Senior Play. He Took parT in The Gay Ninefies Revue and enTerTained aT The piano aT The banqueT for The baskeTbalI champions. Donald was always willing To help in anyfhing. His liking for people we feel sure will help him To become a real porTraiT arTisT. He hopes To go To MassachuseTTs School of ArT in The fall. Jon WhiTcomb had beTTer worry, for soon, we know, Donald will provide preTI'y sTiff compe- TiTion for any commercial arTisT. JOAN CROTEAU Joan Joan. curly-headed and TalkaTive, has been an acTive class mem- ber since she came from SouTh High Three yeras ago. She was in The Glee Club as a Sophomore. As a Junior and Senior, she Took parT in French Club. She was in The DramaTic Club and DebaTing Club, and was a comical hiT as Princess Kafe WaTerfall in The Sen- ior Play. She was a Three year G.A.A. member. AcTive as she was, Joan graduafed an honor sTudenT, wiTh a favoriTe subieci of LaTin. A college-course sTudenT, she added a few commercial sub- iecTs. Joan's plans for The fuTure definiTely include work in an office. Her boundless supply of energy will assure her of a suc- cessful happy life.

MARILYN DUMAS Marilyn Marilyn is The girl wiTh The Twinkling eyes and The preTTy smile. During her Tour years aT old G. H. S., she has been very acTive in all class acTiviTies, especially music. She has been in The Glee Club Tor Tour years and The orchesTra Tor Three. She has served on var- ious commiTTees, and has been in The French club Tor Three. WiTh French as her TavoriTe subjecT, Marilyn has been acTive in all The acTiviTies oT The club. Piano is her hobby: l am sure she will make a success in her musical ambiTions. MARJORIE EMERSON Margie Margie is one oT our quieT girls, buT she is always willing To help whenever she can. She has been acTive in The Glee Club Tor Three years and also The GraTTon AThleTic AssociaTion. ln her senior year she impersonaTed a WesTern sheriTT in The Senior Play. She is very popular wiTh The underclassmen and is generally seen wiTh Three or Tour oT Them. BARBARA FITZPATRICK Barbara Barbara came To GraTTon in her sophomore year and aT once began To Take an inTeresT in all school acTiviTies, especially debaT- ing, in which she excelled. While she was here she was on The honor roll consTanTly and in her senior year was valedicTorian of her class. She was in The debaTing club Tor Three years and in ThaT Time she served as vice-presidenT and secreTary. Barbara was in The senior and junior plays, and also in The Gay NineTies Revue. She was also associaTed wiTh The French club, dramaTic club, and The baskeTball Team. WiTh all her iniTiaTive I am sure she will make a wonderTul laboraTory Technician. BesT oT luck, Barbara! CLINTON HARGROVE ClinT ClinT has always been well inTormed on Two Things, -- currenT evenTs and sporTs. He played baskeTbaII Tor Three years, and was assisTanT manager as a freshman. When TooTball came, in our junior year, ClinT was jusT made ToTxThe Team. Tall and husky, he was rugged enough To survive Two seasons. Probably as a welcome change, he joined The Checker Club, as a junior. He was a hiT in The Gay NineTies Revue when he proposed To Helen Johnson in True old-fashioned sTyle. ClinT looks aT liTe Tor all The Tun and advenTure he can geT. NexT year he inTends To join The Marines. His endless supply of energy will surely help To make him a success.
