At the close of the year of 1943, our class consisting of fifteen members graduated from the eighth grade. In our Freshman year, our enrollment increased with the enrollment of Max Ford, Nelda Vick, Willard Blevins and R. G. Hopper, but Marvin and Melvin Simpson and Jerry Smith left us. Mr. Owen acted as sponsor. In our Sophomore year with Mr. Dennis as our sponsor, we were glad to have Mary Patricia Box, Marita Ann Watts, Margaret Sanders and Rex Kennedy join our thriving group, but we were sorry that Creola Smith, Willard Blevins, R. G. Hopper and Max Ford left our group. During our Junior year there were fifteen of us, with Mr. Hutto as our sponsor. We welcomed Polly Barber, Helen Green and Stanley Kennedy to our group, but Marita Ann Watts, Nelda Vick, Mary Grace Taylor, Margaret Sanders and Helen Green left our ranks. The main event of our Junior year was the Junior-Senior Banquet. As we came to the last step of our school life, our class dwindled to twelve. James Williams and Stanley Kennedy left us. Some of the main events that we will all remem- ber were the Senior Play, Bandits For Breakfast , the J unior-Senior Banquet, the pro- duction of the 1946-47 Annual and the Senior Trip. We wish to express our gratitude to Mrs. Kirby who has stood by and helped us through the hard places this year.
