ELCGME! ' z?'i l- In W f F21 Welcome to the 1986-87 Graceland College ACACIA. For us at the ACACIA office, it was a year of big goals, high hopes, and unfortunately many difficult failures. Once upon a time Cbefore we re- alized what we were getting intoj we de- cided to get the book out by graduation and then send out a supplement to com- plete it. Deadlines pushed forward and we stumbled backwards under a far heavier task than we expected. And behind our backs, the wheels of corporate business were turning. It,s an intricate story, one I won't elaborate on too much. It seems that two mega-com- panies merged and specialized, sending their least favorite children out to fend for themselves in the cold world. One of those companies discovered another company and they merged. Yet another company, feeling left out, joined with the new group and carried little ol' Graceland into the tempest. Surprisingly enough, when the smoke cleared, we liked what we saw. We were, however, still hopelessly behind, but we trudged ahead. And here you have it: the new ACACIA. By now, my high hopes have been re- placed by my wish that you will enjoy the book as you glance through its pages.
