The idea was to create a fun, non-alcoholic dance club that would cater to the social needs of Gracelanders. Open on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights, Choices featured a great sound system to play the latest hits on. If you didn't feel like dancing, you could always find an interesting conversation or a friendly game of pool. Choices offered some unique entertainment opportunities too. Dances with themes, like the beach night or the casino night, appealed to students who like to dress for an occasion. Several evenings had open mikes for talented Gracelanders to show their stuff, including a few local playwrights who pro- duced their original pieces through OOG-Off-Off Graceland. After its first successful year, Choices is looking to bigger and better changes. Friends, family and alums from all over flood the campus, parking in your favorite spot, taking up space in the dorms, and slowing down the line in the Swarm Inn to a near standstill. Your satisfac- tion from the entire weekfend probably comes when you realize that someday, you too, will be such an annoyance to Graceland students. Until then, you bide your time and try to enjoy the hectic schedule that has been planned. This year, the Homecoming play was an unusual choice- Comedy Times Three. In addition, there were band concerts, talent shows, the football game, and a variety of dinners and reunions for old alums. Even the little kids could find something to please them if they headed to Zimmermann for a festival of favorite cartoons.
