After living in the dorms, moving off campus makes you feel like you're living in a different world. You have to deal with landlords and late rents. You have to pay your electric bill or live like Lincoln did. It's Worth all the pain and trouble you go through. Suddenly, you can fix dinner whenever you like. You don't have to fight for the T.V. so that you can secure the Guiding Light before General Hospital fanat- ics take over. You can make your home a shelter for stray cats. Of course, you do have to carry your laundry five blocks to the most expensive laundromat in existence. Sometimes you find yourself walking to school in blizzard conditions because your car wouldn't start. Nearly always you are so broke that you find yourself eyeing the cat food you bought for your homeless pets. But it's all worth it! Rock on Crash! 1-'W - rf 7 , Campus 'E' Susan Lawson sings ofthe joys of living off campus. Living off campus make you feel like a normal human being. -Susan Lawson Doing the dishes might not be fun, but not eating in the commons sure is.

Bringing in the first semester with a bang, the game was not for the weak at heart. Those involved in Assassination nev- er knew what lurked around the corner. Would they find trouble in some library alcove? Where would the kiss of death strike next? The game proved to be a popular, if nerve- wracking, test to start out school. COSA followed Assassination with many more activities sure to appeal to a college crowd. Bands, like The lacks and I.P. 81 the Stone Cold Band, rocked the walls of the MSC. Hypnotists mesmerized students. The social calender was filled with mov- ies, dances, and entertainers to please every taste. Two air band contests called on the creative urges of Grace1and's would-be stars and turned out to be well-attended, enjoyable events. All in all, COSA offered a scintillating line-up of enter- tainers, from near and far, and helped to keep Graceland's so- cial side moving steady. -S.
