EIGHTH ANNUAL OLDE E GLISH M DRIC-5 L DINNER The Chamber Singers, with director Richard Porter, re-cre- ate a l6th century English tradition every Christmas season. Madrigals were written for several separate voice parts, skillfully woven together so that each part is an interesting and independent melody, yet all combine to form a pleasing whole. The Chamber Singers dress in l6th century costumes. A traditional feast is shared with guests and entertainment is provided by the musicians and the court jester. Picture I. Upper division classes in agcho- sen major, serious concentration in those classesland eventually the ultimate-senior projects: papers and research studies, hands-on experience, exhibitions, presentations and concerts. For the underclassman anticipating the senior year these projects seem awesome. But after the year gets under way they become almost second nature. The long wait is over, the work begins and things fall into place. When it's all over Seniors sigh in relief and know the pride of accomplishment.

2-ifcoszx Campus life would not be completekwithout student activities. Liz Stone, President of Campus Organization for Student Activities CCOSAD, saw to it that this year would be filled with entertainment. COSA provided us with many dances-some with bands like Montana and Men Rocking and some with the infa- mous Tom Neville, D.J. Other activities such as Christmas Formal, Hawaiian Luau, Airband Contest and Mardi Gras created a festive atmosphere on campus. There were also live acts like the magician, Kramer S Co. and the hypnotist, John lvine Palmer who challenged the unkonwn. And let us not forget the tradi- tional COSA Wednesday night movies at the Coliseum which gave us the likes of The, Sound of Music , Cat People , and Best Little Whore House in Texas . Campus wide entertainment preferences vary, COSA did its best to please us all. L
