Herald hall and the building that houses the video ar- cade downtown were both used as dorms. 1 Zimmermann was the gym. The Commons, MSC, Science Hall and library were built. Although some areas were still temporary wooden buildings like Country Club and Sunnymeade, the hill was taking on the character of an established college. Finally the Closson gym was built. This gave much bet- ter facilities for the phys. ed. department, and made the renovation of Zimmerman possible.
