Religious Li e One of the truly rewarding aspects of a religious life program in a college setting is the opportunity to work with persons who are seeking to develop their potential while recognizing the opportunity to live out their religious convictions in concrete ways. A college as a Christian enterprise is valid only as we recognize the presence of jesus Christ in the activities which therein occur. In a real sense we find Him confronting us in the tangled personal relations of the residence hall, in the grind of academic achievement-papers, study, etc., in the care required to complete an experiment, in the joy and disappointment of competition, in the action of the college in bettering its community. Stewardship as a response becomes more than a catchy phrase. It is word become flesh anew. The uniqueness of the Graceland Experience: is that it blends all of life while at the same time bringing into focus each of its elemental parts. The opportunity to work, play, study, and worship with one's peers is enriched by the fact that at any given moment one might be sharing those same moments with a faculty person. The warmth and nurturing atmosphere of the Graceland community provides a support system which is essentially what religion is all about. Thus we have laughed and cried, we have celebrated life, we have shared worship and fellowship formally and informally, in large groups and small groups, on campus and in many places off campus, we have revelled in the arts, we have searched fields which hold promise for lifelong friendships and life long service to God and our fellow beings. We have lived! Rick Bunch IfV0t1'HL' iff.- -A . '. U , ' 1'-xv.. X X' 1. Y ' j?f 2. ' , rf
