Many people are familiar with the location of Graceland as the hill. Our campus is a beautiful one, with its distin- guished buildings and well-kept grounds. The pace at Graceland College is relaxed. we are far from the hustle-bustle of city life and close to the serenity of nature. At Graceland College we feel the pressures of deadlines and responsibilities with our school work, but we also feel the freedom released by the beauty of our surroundings. Lamoni is Graceland's home town. We spend time in Lamoni running errands at Varsity Drug, Edgerton's, and the bank, going out for pizza at the Pizza Shack, and enjoying movies at the Coliseum. The activities of Gracelandvstu- dents do not go unnoticed by the Lamoni community, Lamoni and our college have always been and are still close- ly related. Many Lamoni residents attended Graceland College at one time. A majority of GraceIand's faculty members live in Lamoni, some have held or hold positions on the city coun- cil. The people of Lamoni, many of whom are members of the sponsoring church, take a special interest in the college. Students become acquainted with Lamoni citizens when they participate in the town family program. Town and col- lege pastoral groups also bring students and Lamoni resi- dents together. . . .
