The l96l Homecoming was not a classic in dig- nified formalities, nor a study in aimless sentimen- tality. lts pranks, its sur- prise meetings, its light- hearted spontaneity, bal- anced by worship, dedica- tion, and commitment evoked the deepest expres- sions of sincere fellow- ship. As memories shaded by years of separation be- came sparkling realities once more, the warm ad- miration of alumni for the campus was rekindled. This link in the expand- ing tradition of the spirit of Homecoming will con- tinue to testify of years on the Hill.
