Page 2 At Sunset The setting sun glows behind the far hills, and the campus pauses for a moment. Caught in the beauty of the hour, time and place dis- solve into the touch of the infinite. All the ages are gathered into that moment and all the future held therein. We are linked with all of history, as it lives today in our experiences and the people with whom we share them. Men of all ages, the philosoph- ers, the scientists, the artists, the prophets, have enriched our lives and helped to shape their courses. We cannot always say how each has influenced us, for often they have come into our lives when we were unaware and have left their mark on our very being. Sometimes walking erect and proud in our growing maturity, some- times faltering as we see more clearly into the vast expanse of the universe, we sense a call that leads us forward. Wherever we go, when the sun sets in a blaze of color, or dawn comes crystal clear to new snow on ever- green, when the air is heavy with the scent of lilacs, we will remember that while we lived upon this hill, the infinite reached out and made a dif- ference in our lives.
