Q,-7 good education is education for good living. This does not imply that static or cut-and-dried standards of goodness are to be authoritatively imposed by teachingg it does not imply a type of curriculum or of method that is obnoxious to the freedom of the child or to the project principle in gen- eral,' but it does imply something as to the kind of experience that the school provides for the pupil. It implies that from the school there shall radiate into the larger world of maturity habits and modes of activity that can be recognized as good from the standpoint of the needs of this larger world. -COE.

OUR FACULTY The Graceland faculty consists of men and women wholly con secrated to the student body We find in them men and women who have worked and succeeded men and women who have lived their lives for a purpose and we see that purpose unfolding itself in the lives of the students We find in them a spirit of loyalty which never tires IH the daily routme of life on the Hill We meet them in the halls or on the campus at play or in the classroom and that ever ready smile of do you need me? is present We can not help feeling a sense of that loyalty in return They play with us as well as work with us and yet through it all vse recog mze that dignity in them that we have learned to respect and love One of the beauties of being a Graceland student is being able to profit by the influence of their experienced personalities. We the student body Wish to take this opportunity to express I our appreciation to you the faculty for all that you have done for us this past year. lt might seem from our actions at times ' that We have not fully appreciated you and your devotion to us but we can assure you that we have and furthermore we honestly say We recognize in our faculty men and women who are 'plain without pomp and rich without show.
