PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE The excitement of wearing the white cap, the significance of our chosen pro¬ fession, and the three years training all melt together to form a solid foundation for the graduate nurse. This also instills in each a sense of pride in our pro¬ fession, a sense of loyalty to our school, and a sense of confidence in ourselves. Add to these ingredients the warmth of friendship, strengthened as we learned to live actively and cooperatively with our fellow classmates, and we have the future-- our future, ready for us to shape as our attitudes and actions dictate. Ships sail east and ships sail west While the self same breezes blow. It is the set of the sails and not the gales That determine the way they go. Like the winds of the sea are the winds of fate As we journey along through life. It is the set of the soul that determines the goal And not the calm nor the strife. Anon. My sincerest wishes to all students, graduates, and a most humble ' thank-you ' for your encouragement and support, not only throughout my term of office but over the three years we ' ve been together.
