PUBLIC HEALTH The one week we spend on Public Health slips by very quickly. It is filled with a variety of experiences - school visits. Child Health Conferences, post-natal visits and pre-natal classes. The post-natal visits especially help us to see the patient as an individual in her own unique setting, her home. It also gives us a much better idea of the problems she is facing. The experience gives us an insight into how we as nurses can be a contributing member of society by helping to meet the health needs of the people in the community. Myrtle Harms. DIET KITCHEN Those were the days my friends- -calculating diets that even we would ' nt eat! -forcing fluids till we had to learn how to swim, -anyone for Sustagen?-ugh ! ! - Keep it down to a dull roar, girls . -a post mortem to see what food can really do to you ! -those extra long coffee breaks that theoretically lasted only fifteen minutes! ! -and those poor kids who had to take D.K. with their Level II -our sympathies ! ! !
