Stage Managers Miss Carter Mr Ross Sowinski R Grudzien R DeOca R Vehar The Setting September 1950 brought the star performers forward to accept their roles as understudies Mr Anthony Zappella and Mrs Bartlett Ross guided us through our first attempts at picking the be st President Robert Vehar ofliciated at all rehearsals and when he couldnt Doug Gable stepped in as Veep Barb Spittler recorded our mistakes and our good acts while Lou Gable collected our receipts The first production on the stage was a Hobo Dance' followed by a bake sale Bringing that year to a success ful close we spent part of our hard earned cash at Crystal Beach The second stage year didntstart so well Ciyil War Hats became a sour spot to mention at meetings, eyen though President Otto Thamase tt struggled hard to keep peace N eep Elwood Greene Secretary Barb Guziee' and Treasurer Bob Grudnen lent their able support in helpfulness Right before Christmas we staged the Soph Hop The plans for the earmyal were brought forth for the second time and were defeated for that year A spaghetti supper and a bake sale added money to our growing till Both our adyisors left us that year The second trip to Crystal Beach was a little sad because of this loss but joyful because Miss C arte r joined us umor year President Elwood Greene brought us quick prospe r1ty guided by Miss Larter 'ind our new ad yxsor Mr Martini Harold Be nnighof aided Elwood while Nancy ack and Lou Gable gaye their support to the other executiye positions After selecting our class rmgs we started the serious task of making a few hits for the year earniyal was held in the gym where many of us understudles were dressed as clowns sultmg us to a t The Junior Prom was eonstantly on our mmds from the first day of school Moon Oyer Miami was picked as our theme Decorations were made for the school gym where me danced to the musie f Art De drieks Orchestra We began a new custom of giymg the queen a crown pm as a token from the President The Senior year finally came we were stars' The first elass meeting was deyoted to eleeting oftieers Bob Grudzie n was elected President Dick De Oca Y eep Bob Y ehar Treasurer and jane Sowmski Seere tary Mr Bartlett Ross jome d us to assist Miss Larte r as adyisor Our first project was the magazine sale where we chose teams to compete 'Next we went into the Christmas Wrapping Paper busmess During the Christmas holidays we gaye the Senior dance the Holiday Whirl at the Gowanda Llub ln February the stars held a mmor part a bake sale We sold pictures to the underelassmen and then we presented our stellar pe rformanee Head in the Clouds by NI and J Hayes The trip to YN ashmgton for which we had been saying all this money was fun for eyeryone there The only sad thing about it was that we knew we would be together just a short time before graduation We stars now step out for the understudxes to take our place in 125307 I2 il 1 O 1 . 1 1 ' 1 l x 1 . ix 1 1 1 ' '1 ' . 1 u .1 .
