Nellie Forbush, portrayed by Bette Neroda, was vibrant as she smiled and sang her way to stardom. An exceptional male cast headed by Gary Spivey and Doug Uhlig enhanced the professional atmosphere of the show. Unforgettable Linda Stewart provided more than just a touch of fun as Bloody Mary. Palm trees turned to sage brush this year, and Bette and Doug became westernized for Annie Get Your Gun. Packed houses proved that this Irving Berlin fantasy is always a favorite. Hunter Birckhead, wild west show barker par excellance, badgered Allyn Shepard this ambitious sisterj and helped jamie Caldwell and Cindy Rundlet Call they wanted to do was to get marriedj. Across the country and throughout Europe the show traveled on the boards of GLRHS. When the make-up came off though, the cast knew . . .
