IN SEARCH OF .. . MEMORIES A NOSTALGIC LOOK AT THE 70'S The close of a decade. The world we live in changes more rap- idly every day, as industrial technology and world relations seemingly create more problems than they solve. The constant cloud of nucleur holocaust by our own hand continues to drive our generation on in a blind run. Government integrity has been dented innumerable times both in the present and in the recent recorded past. Large corporations are on the block for everything from price gouging to consumer safety and fraud. Vietnam end- ed in total tragedy, and every day repercussions of that ill fated conflict fill the papers. At a time when so many world leaders are calling for peace, peace seems to be slipping further away. We had hoped to make this a happy conclusion to a rather mun- dane but revealing decade, however reality paints a different picture. Music has gone full circle and has once again returned to basic rock and roll with an electronic twist. Dead forever are the Beatles, Kiss should be so fortu- nate. We've gained new friends and allies with China, a situation which has put the Bear Russia on the of- fensive. The oil cartel has begun flexing its very influential muscles. The civil rights movements of the 60's has melted into every day life, and now the ERA will be a fine feather in the cap of humanity. Hu- manism is finally being given a chance at long last. Perhaps the goal of world peace rests in our genera- tion's hands, and our children will be the seed of a brave new world. 10 OPENING
