NETTO As I have assumed the new posi- tion as your Superintendent of schools, I found it different from being a principal of a junior high school. In these first ten months, I discovered a feeling of proud- ness and satisfaction from the fine quality of students and from the excellent staff we have ac- quired over the years. Generally speaking, the student body has established a personality equaled by none. Please accept my thanks for being respectful, hard- working, and polite. I dare you all to continue to achieve these goals. Good luck to you in future endeavors.

GUIDANCE The main functions of the Guidance Department are to counsel students in the areas of planning high school programs and to assist in personal problems. The career information available is valuable in help- ing the student discover more about himself and his interests and abilities. He can then plan for a career after receiving a high school diploma. Our Guidance Department consists of three very capable counselors who are sincerely interested in the students as individuals. They are willing to talk to the students and help them meet the challenges of future life. 8
